This is harmless rewrite in Perl of a damaging code artwork called Walking backwards to see the destruction in my wake. I felt uneasy with the idea that someone might actually run this, depsite the warning running this will very probably result in extreme loss of data so I wrote a harmelss version you can run.
Pall Thayer's Microdes website states that these are each very small code-based artworks. Each one is a fully contained work of art.
Copy the source code, put it in a plain text file with a .pl extension (say 'walking-backwards.pl'), make it executable with chmod +x and run it from a terminal: perl walking-backwards.pl
